Information
Why jump or climb
in and out of your truck bed when you can take two easy steps to
access your cargo? StepLite is a fold down step, designed
for pickup trucks, to allow you to climb into the cargo bed with
ease. Perfect for accessing gear stored in the front of the
truck bed by its well placed step which is halfway between the tailgate
and the ground. A convenient platform designed to allow you
to quickly access cargo from the truck bed. Well placed lighting
also illuminates the area behind your truck for better back up visibility
at night.
Steplite attaches
to a standard Class III or Class IV hitch receiver and is designed
to mount on full size pickup trucks. You can still tow your
favorite trailer with the StepLite installed.
In the upright
position the rugged Steplite protects the back of your trucks tailgate.
Lights
Lighting is provided
by both a red LED light bar for an additional brake light and two
rear facing illumination lights to flood the rear of your truck
with light while working at night or to simply allow you better
night vision while backing into your favorite campsite or backing
down those mountain paths. The lights can be orientated to
direct light rearward even with the step down.
The StepLite
gets its 12V power from the standard 7 pin socket provided by truck
OEM’s.
Switches
A toggle switch,
mounted under the light panel, provides a convenient location to
turn on the two rear facing flood lights. The control switch
is a three position switch to allow you to select your mode of operation.
(Lights ON - Reverse Only/ Lights OFF/ Lights ON)
12V Power Outlet An
optional 12V power supply outlet is available which allows a power
source for tailgating with stereos and TV’s or working with
12V powered tools and appliances.
Platform
A skid resistant
rubber surface applied to a 10 inch by 22 inch platform provides a
comfortable step to make entry and exit to the cargo bed easy.
Frame
The welded frame
assembly is made of 1/4 inch steel side plates and 1/8 inch steel
floor panel. The assembly is powder coated. A 2-1/2 inch tube
provides a rugged bull guard look.
Release Lever Steplite
can be quickly lowered to access the tailgate of your truck by pulling
on the release lever and swinging the step down. It is returned
to the upright position by simply lifting the step until the latch
catches in the upright position.
